Affinity by Serif (now part of Canva) is a graphics software that I use for most of the character sheets and other materials.
I actually primarily use Affinity Publisher, which was the version around when I was introduced to it, and the related Affinity Designer. In that version, the two applications could be used together (Publisher would basically expose a lot of Designer’s tools if you owned both - though for a few things you really had to open up the other app to get easier use). When they went to a third version, they combined this further (and made it free with paid additions, instead of the previous paid model) so all features are in a single application.
