And all that while he met with no adventure or anything worth relating – so says the true story of Perceval; but these days there are many brave fellows going round these courts as story-tellers who twist the good tales, distancing them from their sources and adding so many lies that the stories are ruined and the good books dishonoured. Wauchier of Denain, Second Continuation of Perceval

It’s hard to satisfy everyone, and since this game is unpublishable I’m not really beholden to. Pendragon is a niche game already. This game is maybe even more niche.

A major way I indulge in this favoritism is in the materials.

  • I live by an industrial printer with a large-format blueprint machine that can do things like 4x3 foot prints pretty easily. Thus the design is littered with big printouts that might be tricky for other tables1.
  • I have small amber and onyx stones2 - so I discuss markers as stones and tie into the symbolism a little. This one’s not too hard to replace, but the physical feel is designed around the pieces I have.

Footnotes

  1. And speaking of tables, it’s also because I play at a table I can place these at. The sizes are because they’re the ones that fit well.

  2. Originally picked up for A Wind Age, A Wolf Age - though I only used the amber ones.
