Tristran, I can tell you, was adept at every game and pastime—chess, backgammon, dice. At hunting in wood and river he was more skilled than any man; if he turned his hand to juggling tricks he surpassed them all; when it came to swordsmanship no one could compare; as for wrestling, he threw and pinned down every knight at court! He was tested by the finest and beat them all!

Footnotes
-
That is to say, when that skill is the relevant skill you’re using - you can only apply one; if a task may involve multiple skills, pick one that’s most fitting for the problem and your approach to solving it. ↩
-
e.g. someone trained in The Sword and the Spear isn’t just skilled in using weapons, but in identifying good and bad craftsmanship, recognizing the behaviors and cultural practices of fighters, etc. ↩
-
Each also has one special skill they start with a point in, even before any other Character Creation, which is one of the skills unique to them. ↩
